Since its establishment fourteen years ago, Pimpernel has developed Pimpernel Classics, an impeccable collection of unimposing, versatile and comfortable replicas. Pimpernel’s antique-style armchairs and sofas are available in a select range of styles (rather than custom-made), displaying something of what Thomas King termed in his cult book of 1833, French Designs, ‘the French taste for lightness and elegance.’

The replica collection is dominantly modeled after French 19th century pieces but made in Essex (England). The furniture is constructed in beechwood, the cushions duck-down feathered, all fire-retardant material. Freshly covered in (100% cotton) cream calico, Pimpernel Classics are ready to be re-covered in your choice of material, and Pimpernel is also happy to arrange for upholstery.
